Why it was made

A record of the bottles and the pours

I built BarShelf because managing a home bar gets messy surprisingly fast. Once you have more than a few bottles, it’s easy to forget what you own, how much is left, what you thought of it, or what you can actually make with it.

I wanted to make that experience much simpler. With AI Scan, you can take a photo of a bottle and let BarShelf identify it and fill in the details for you. From there, you can track pours and remaining amounts, keep tasting notes, and build a complete digital shelf of your collection.

The AI Bartender takes it a step further by looking at the bottles you actually own and suggesting cocktails you can make, answering drink-related questions, and helping you get more out of your home bar.

I wanted to build the app I wished existed for my own collection — part bottle tracker, part tasting journal, and an AI bartender in your pocket.
