Tandem
Bryan wanted to stop copying drafts between Claude and his documents. Tandem keeps the writing, comments and suggested edits together.

Why it was made
The feedback belongs beside the sentence
Tandem is a Markdown editor for working on a document alongside the AI assistant that already has access to your project context and skills. Just tell Claude to pull up a document or a scratchpad in Tandem, or open a document directly in Tandem and start writing. Highlight a passage or leave a comment, and Claude can respond beside the relevant text. Suggested changes appear as edits you can accept or dismiss. Text written by the AI is coral-colored, text written by you is cobalt-colored.
Bryan started it while drafting reports in an Obsidian vault. The desktop app now opens Markdown, text, HTML, and DOCX files on macOS, Windows, and Linux. The editor is free to download; AI features require a compatible local AI client and its own subscription or API access.
